Surf maps not showing up

So i downloaded some surf maps like surf_aircontrol_ksf and put it in the maps folder but they wont show up in game and idk how to play them, does anyone know how to get them to show up?

at the state the public release is in, you can only load into a map by using the console -- openable with the `/~ key on your keyboard, or alternatively there's an option in the main menu. type map and it should start showing the maps that exist: a few test maps bundled with the game, as well as any you added assuming you put them in the correct folder

twi Thanks a lot! You know if there its posible to activate the timer and save times on these ""hidden"" maps?

I have the same problem! For me it seems any .bsp map shows up just fine when typing "map" in console, but any that are .bsp.bz2 do not show up. removing the .bz2 also does not work and typing the map name in manually shows the same error as if no map was found.

Finding surf maps in the .bsp format is a good stand-in, awkward but better than nothing! Hopefully someone knows a more comprehensive solution!

.bz2 is a container for a bzip2 compressed file, similar to a .zip file. Download 7zip and open the .bsp.bz2 with that, it'll contain a .bsp file.
