Having zones that limit the keys (or strafe direction) a player can press allows for mappers to create maps that force players to do some sections in specific ways. They would operate much like the no-jump zones that are currently implemented. If a player tries to press another strafe key while in a left only turning zone, it will simply do nothing. The intended key (or keys) designated by the zone would still function normally. In addition to forcing certain turn directions for spins, this also allows mappers to make sections of their map completable through only non-standard angles. Another type of zone that would allow for half-sideways support is a zone that forces more than one key to be pressed at the same time (AW SD etc.). These types of zones would push the limits of difficulty and variation mappers are able to include in their maps.
